Madhukar engg. Components offers mini type vices. The long felt need for holding tiny parts with precision is now met by these makar mini vices. These vices are made of tool steel. They are appropriately heat treated and ground perfectly parallel and square, can be used for holding workpieces less than 25 mm in size. It has jaw width of 30 mm overall and size of the vice is 60 x 30 x 30 [l x w x h] mm. Its design is similar to makar angular clamping [quick acting] vice. It has v-grooves on both axes for tiny pins. As companions to the vice, there is a holder and a v-block unit, which makes easy mounting of the vice in a collet of any machine say edm, lathe, etc. The holder has a shank of dia 10 mm. When held in the v-block, the vice can be revolved to set up the tapers on the work piece. On an edm, the vice can be used to preset electrodes and held in the machine spindle collet, thus saving set-up time on the machine. On surface grinder or tool grinder, tiny jobs can be preset and the mini vice itself can be held in a bigger vice or on the magnetic chuck. These valves are highly useful for diemakers making tools and moulds for electronic/watch industries, jewellery manufacturing units, etc.
